Spanish Verb Conjugation: Indicative Mood: Preterite Tense
Preterite Tense: -IR Stem-Changing Verbs

©RCAguilar

OBJECTIVE:
Finalize your preterite tense conjugation studies with this group.
TASK:
Work mostly on the 3rd person singular & plural forms, since they're the "trouble spots."
PERPLEXED?
It'll work itself out real soon ...
Huh?
Spanish as a spoken language is vocalized really fast! Somewhere along the line I read about some research that showed Spanish as being spoken 3 times faster than English.
Well, it's all relative, as somebody on the famous-side once said. E=mc2 and all that.
On this one, do that trick again where it's a completely oral thing. Just say the verbs out in their conjugated forms without looking at anything, using the normal IR verb patterns. This is only for practice!
Say them really, really quickly. If you go fast enough, you end up seeing how this "bastardization" of the spellings in keeping only the first letter of the stem change might have occurred.
Yeah. It's another theory.
