Review Everything !

Constant review and usage of vocabulary and constructions are the most valuable phases of language-learning. Watch a 2-year-old who is actively engaged in language development. They never shut up !!! That's how you can be a better speaker: pretend you're a two-year-old and talk, talk, talk, talk, talk !!!

¿Qué hora es?
¿Cuántos hay?

¿Con eso basta?

¿Qué número es?
¿Cómo estás?

¿Qué hay de nuevo?

If you don't understand any of the above questions, follow the link to go back and THOROUGHLY read through the page, listening to ALL sound files and SAYING THEM REPEATEDLY!

It's just practice !!!

Now it's time to continue learning the numbers.
Follow this link and learn the numbers 20 through 59.
Listen to the sound files, repeat them about 42,000 times, picture that much money in your bank account, building up as you go, and become more and more secure with stating these numbers as readily and rapidly as you do in English.
It's for your own good!

Here are some more review activities that you can do to reinforce what you've learned so far:
Go through the telephone numbers in your cell phone, and say each phone number as quickly as you can - including the area code. Try to achieve the same level that you have for saying the numbers in English: FAST!
Use a calendar, and drop a pencil onto dates as you flip through. Try to say each date in Spanish, as naturally as you can in English.
Watch some of your DVD's with the Spanish language track instead of the English track. Just check out one or two scenes, then transfer back and forth between languages to quickly pick up useful expressions.
Pick out some vocabulary words from the vocabulary lists, and learn about three new words a day. Try to USE the vocabulary at some point during the day. And remember, ... only learn words that you're going to use!
To practice your pronunciation, read some maps. Find maps of California, Texas, Central America, Mexico, South America, etc. ... and say the names of the places out loud. You can pretty well tell if you're saying them correctly or not, by double-checking the pronunciation guide pages.

Starting Points in Language Study:

Language development is an ongoing process. You build on a foundation of knowledge, and continue to grow.

Just keep after it, and one day you'll be speaking Spanish. You have the rest of your life to "get it down!"
