Learn the Spanish vowel sounds. First step to making it "SOUND RIGHT!"

Learn the Spanish alphabet --- and SING IT !!!

Learn about putting consonants with vowels and making syllables.

Learn the first 10 numbers, ... then deal with PHONE NUMBERS !!!

Learn your first expressions in Spanish. "Hello" & "Goodbye" & such ...

Learn your first question, and some things about English.

Learn something.

Learn to start telling time, and a little more about thinking.

Learn a few words and practice your pronunciation.

Learn the days of the week, and about the date.

Learn how to deal with stating "how many" of something there is/are.

Learn numbers 20 thru 59 and review previous lessons.
Lesson 18
Expand your use of the idiom "Hay que ..." and learn something about verbs.

Learn how to talk about doing things "at a certain time."

Reading & Listening Comprehension
Lesson 21
Yo = I: Study and learn the pronoun "yo."
Lesson 22
Learn how to make the "yo" form in present tense.
Lesson 23
Learn how to make the possessive: Dad's car; Mom's house, etc.
When you go through these lessons, concentrate on little bits of information.
Don't try to memorize everything on any given page.
If you learn just a little bit of "functional" Spanish - and add just a little more every day --- soon you'll be speaking plenty!
You will only learn patterns thoroughly through usage and exposure, so USE them whenever possible.
Especially work on making the SOUNDS correctly - more specifically the vowels.
As you study along, HAVE FUN with it!
You will eventually be very proud of yourself, for actually LEARNING another language!

You'll see the following recommendation for a talking dictionary on many of the following pages throughout the initial lessons. This is because it is a vital tool for helping you go through the learning process - as painlessly as possible. Imagine always having "somebody there" from whom you can get the pronunciation to vocabulary that you're trying to learn. That's what it can do for you! So, don't hesitate. You'll learn so much faster!

 

A handy way to immerse yourself into learning Spanish is to gather as many Spanish books as you can !!! Kids' books, picture dictionaries, verb studies, idioms ... there's a lot of ground to cover. A small investment can make a big difference!
